Frequently Asked Questions
To get started, check out our pricing and services page, then complete the
consultation request form. Once we receive your request, we will give you
a call (usually within 1-2 business days) with more information and to
answer any questions you may have. We will need some basic property
information, images and inspiration photos before we can get you
scheduled for your virtual design consultation.
Since each project is so customized, we recommend starting the
consultation process in order to get a quote. This way, we can collect the
items needed from you to get a feel for your property and project details,
and go from there.
This is by far our most-asked question. And while we try our best to
provide easily-accessible answers to this, the reality is that every design
is different, and so is pricing.
That being said, we do have some base pricing listed below, so you can
get a feel for where you may fall. [A good rule of thumb is that a typical
fair design price is about 1-3% of the project budget.] Accessibility is
important to us, and we're proud to say that our pricing, more often than
not, falls on the lower end of that range.
Each design comes with a realistic HD 3D video flythrough rendering of
the design, as many 3D photos of the design as you’d like, and up to two
revisions.. It also comes with a scaled, 2D drawing of the design if
needed.
During your virtual consultation, you can expect a thorough virtual
meeting with our designer who will get a feel for your style preferences,
answer any questions, and provide design solutions based on budget,
location and HOA/City restrictions. If you're not sure what your style is,
that's no problem at all - that's what we're here for! We will help you hone
in on your needs and narrow down ideas, inspiration & styles so that we
can make design decisions together. A typical consultation will be about
an hour long.
Unless your home is either newly built or has not been built yet, then
typically we do not need many (if any) measurements from you. We use
software that can pull fairly accurate property and house measurements.
However, there are some exceptions to this. Your designer will let you
know either before or during your consultation if additional measurements
are required.
Our typical turnaround time is 3 - 6 weeks, depending on the scope of the
project and current volume. We understand that timelines can be tight and
you may need your design sooner than our typical turnaround time. If you
are interested in a rush service, please let us know when you complete
your consultation request.
We know that things can change throughout the construction process
based on budget, materials shortages, timing, etc., or you may want to
adjust some details like landscaping choices, materials selection, etc. You
have 90 days after your initial design delivery date to send us a list of
revisions, and to schedule your first revisions call. We will meet again
virtually, discuss any design changes or questions, and start working on
your updated rendering! Each design comes with up to two sets of
reasonable revisions.
While we are not building the project, we do offer a very comprehensive
plan set called the Builder’s Package. This package includes a full
breakdown of our design plan including pool & landscape layouts,
detailed measurements, setbacks, materials choices & quantities,
breakdowns of the pool, structures, water features, kitchen areas and
much more. This is very helpful for getting comparable quotes from
contractors, as well as assisting in the approval process if you live in an
HOA or other community organization that requires approval for your
project.
